2nd annual dinner
Shifa Foundation held its 2nd Annual Dinner with the motive of encouraging the blessed people of the society of contribute for the needy patients what Almighty Allah has bestowed upon them in abundance. Prof. Dr. Nasir Khokhar, Chairman Shifa Welfare Council, gave the introductory say of the evening. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand, Chairman NESCOM and chief guest of the occasion, said that the services provided by SF are valuable to the society and their efforts need to be supported. Dr. Zaheer Ahmad, CEO SIH, also addressed the assembly discussing his aspirations of the provision of quality health care. On this occasion prominent donors of SF were awarded shields for their contribution and help. The aims and goals of SF were highlighted for the philanthropic and socially active members of the society. Mr. Anwar Maqsood as master of Ceremony made this evening an event worth remembering for a long time to come. |

FIRST ANNUAL DINNER AND MAFIL-E-ADAB-O-MUSHAIRA
Saturday night on August 26, 2006, Shifa Foundation a charity registered organization wheeled in its First Annual Dinner cum Mehfil-e-Adab-o-Mushaira in the Greens of Shifa International Hospital. The bright blue tickets displayed 12 renowned figures from the field of Poetry and Adab. This glorious evening started at 8:30 with the delicious and exquisite food, it was the gathering of 400 and everybody who was supposed to come, came. The proceedings delayed by 45 minutes, were attended by the man of humor and wit, Mr. Naeem Bukhari, and programe proceeded in the Name of Allah. Mr. Mahboob Zafar, the master of ceremony opened the living room by inviting the most eminent poets and poetess's on the stage. Mr. Masood Mufti, Mr. Mansha Yaad, Mr. Munnu Bhai from the field of Adab, followed by Ms. Ilmas, Ms. Fakhra Batool, Mr. Zahid Fakhrie, Dr. Inam-ul-Haq Javaid, Mr. Sarfraz Shahid, Mr. Javaid Shaheen, Ms. Shabnam Shakeel and Mr. Anwar Masood fueled the function with their beautiful artistic presentations, which revealed puns in their verses and sharp literary pieces. The ceremony was meant to be a Fund Raising appeal for the less endowed countrymen in relation with the little attempt to drop a smile on serious faces. It was an absolutely perfect evening and a major victory of Shifa Foundation. Everything was awesome, feast fantastic, lights luxurious, backdrop blushing and poetry provoking. It was fabulous and before everybody lift, all came to congratulate Dr. Muhammad Ata for his major coup, and he in turn thanked and congratulated all the people who helped him to put on this marvelous event and prayed to God that Shifa Foundation strives harder in future to gather more benevolent persons to be the part of this noble cause. It was no doubt an extraordinary step of SF. Everyone agreed that it was the Dinner of the year and wished SF another year, as long as they were invited to the Second Annual Dinner. |
