| On November 19, 2011, Shifa Foundation Falahee Clinic held its fifth Annual Fund Raising Dinner on the Lawns of Shifa International Hospital. Zafar-ul-Haq, PML (N) has been invited as Chief Guest. The Program proceeded in the Name of Allah. M/s Munazza Ijaz (Assistant Manager Fund Raising), the master of ceremony opened the proceeding by inviting Dr. Nasir Khokhar (Chairman, SWC) who welcomed the guests and enlightened them on the Foundation’s activities. Syed Ilyas Ahmad, (Ex COO, SIH) paid tribute to late Dr. Zaheer Ahmad (CEO SIH) followed by Dua-e-Maghfarat by Mr. Azmat Ullah Qureshi. Mr. Ibar-ul-Haq shared his view and experiences regarding his Sahara for Life Trust and requested the guests to come forward and support the noble cause of SFFC. Mr. Tariq Aziz asked the audience and benevolent persons to donate generously for the poor and deserving patients. Mr. Farooq Qaiser amused the audience with reference to his famous character Uncle Sargam. Dr. Mohammad Ata (Chairman, Shifa Foundation) thanked and congratulated all the people who helped to put on this marvelous event and prayed to Allah that Shifa Foundation strives harder in future to gather more benevolent persons to be the part of this noble cause. |

| On October 09, 2010, Shifa Foundation Falahee Clinic held its fourth Annual Fund Raising Dinner cum Mehfil-e-Adab-o-Mushaira on the Lawns of Shifa International Hospital. The Justice (R) Wajihuddin Ahmed has been invited as Chief Guest is a former member of Pakistan’s Judiciary. The Program proceeded in the Name of Allah. Dr. M. Naseem Ansari (COO, SCM), the master of ceremony opened the proceeding by inviting Dr. Nasir Khokhar (Chairman, SWC) who welcomed the guests and enlightened them on the Foundation’s activities. The dinner was followed by a humorous poetry recital sessions. Dr. Nasir Khokhar (Chairman, SWC) thanked and congratulated all the people who helped to put on this marvelous event and prayed to Allah that Shifa Foundation strives harder in future to gather more benevolent persons to be the part of this noble cause. | Saturday night on March 28, 2009, Shifa Foundation Falahee Clinic held its third Annual Fund Raising Dinner cum Mehfil-e-Adab-o-Mushaira on the Lawns of Shifa International Hospital. The Programe proceeded in the Name of Allah. Ms. Munazza Ijaz, the master of ceremony opened the proceeding by inviting Dr. M. Naseem Ansari (COO, SCM) who welcomed the guests and enlightened them on the Foundation’s activities. A thoughtful skit was also addressed the audience, appealed to the people to support the noble cause of serving non-affording patients. Ch. Ahtizaz Ahsan called upon philanthropists and affluent people to come forward and contribute to health care services to the needy patients. The dinner was followed by a humorous poetry recital sessions. | 2nd annual dinner |

| Shia Foundation held its 2nd Annual Dinner with the motive of encouraging the blessed people of the society to contribute for the needy patients what Almighty Allah has bestowed upon them in abundance. Prof. Dr. Nasir Khokhar, Chairman Shifa Welfare Council, gave the introductory say of the evening. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand, Chairman NESCOM and chief guest of the occasion, said that the services provided by SF are valuable to the society and their efforts need to be supported. Dr. Zaheer Ahmad, CEO SIH, also addressed the assembly discussing his aspirations of the provision of quality health care. On this occasion prominent donors of SF were awarded shields for their contribution and help. The aims and goals of SF were highlighted for the philanthropic and socially active members of the society. Mr. Anwar Maqsood as master of Ceremony made this evening an event worth remembering for a long time to come. |

Shifa Foundation (SF) brought forward another fund raising appeal on July 15, 2006. More than thirty quests from the commercial and industrial area were invited on this occasion. The programme started at 10:00 am. The master of ceremony Ms. Sabiha Feroz helped to introduce the cause of SF to the invited guests. After the introduction of individuals and the brain storming session to see how to further advance the cause of SF in providing quality care to those who can't afford it but possibly deserve more than other, followed by a tour of SF facility by guests. Hope this step of SF helped to further introduce the cause of SF to the men of understanding. |

| INAUGURATION NEW WARDS |

Humanity will keep surviving, if humane people are alive. The donation of benevolent and generous Mr. Afzal Khan presents itself as an inspiration by establishing a new ward at D-0, which was Inaugurated on June 01, 2006. This ward is for poor patients. It has 24 beds and equipped with all necessary infrastructure. We hope that this new ward at D-0 will be an auspicious step to promote the healthcare at different levels. |

A 40-ft container was received from Med-Help International (USA) in February 2006 containing medicines, medical supplies and equipments i.e X-Ray Processor Unit, Multi viewer, etc.
Another container was shipped from Med-Help International (USA) in the last week of January 2006 and is expected to arrive soon. It will be carrying Medical and Orthopedics Supplies, X-Ray Processor Units, Dermatomes and Dialyses Chairs, etc. |

Rab - e - Kaba, prayer of Shifa Foundation for earthquake victims was aired on ARY Digital and Indus Music in the month of November 2005. The prayer and CD is available for any other channels that may wish to air it or use it for promotion of our cause. |

| REHABILITATION CENTER |
| |
Shifa Foundation is planning to develop a tertiary care rehabilitation center with 70 bed facility especially for the maimed, disabled amputees / paraplegics with special emphasis on physical therapy, psychotherapy and vocational therapy. The initial blue print of this unit has been prepared. This state-of-the-art institute will need a lot of contribution from our well wishers and expatriate Philanthropists. It may be necessary to acquire land in close vicinity of Islamabad as the present facility of Shifa Foundation in the premises of Shifa International Hospital is inadequate. Such a facility will thus have the constant vigilance of the tertiary care physicians of Shifa International Hospital especially the neurologists and orthopedic surgeons.
The rehabilitation has already started to function since the earthquake, especially with the efforts of the physical therapy technicians. The picture shows the treatment of a paraplegic patient who has recovered enough to walk on parallel bars with the help of her trunk muscles, while her legs remain totally paralyzed. |
